NEW AIR SERVICE.
PALMERSTON TO WANGANUI.
MAIL WILL BE CARRIED
An air service between Palmerston North and Wanganui, commencing on January 10, will be used for the dispatch of air mails, according to advice received by the Chief Postmaster.
The postage rates for letters and parcels will be the same as those for existing inland services. The 'plane departs from Palmerston North at 10.45 a.m. and arrives at Wanganui at 11.15 a.m. At noon it leaves Wanganui on the return journey, which will be completed at 12.30 p.m.
Correspondence dispatched on the first day of the service will be back-stamped, at Wanganui, and correspondence from Wanganui by first flight will be backstamped at the office of the destination of the mail.
