TRAINING CHEMISTS.
REVISION OF SYLLABUS.
FELLOWSHIP EXAMINATION.
Superseding many other sets of regulations dating back to 1901, a new series of pharmacy regulations came into operation on January 1. The new regulations provide in tile first place for the election of members of the Pharmacy Board and also of the registrar anil deputy-registrar.
The second* part of the regulations explains the new syllabus for, the examinations conducted by the board. The chief purpose of the revision is to bring the syllabus up-to-date and abreast of advances in the world of chemistry. It is also desired to bring standards into harmony with those in Australia and England, thus facilitating reciprocity among chemists throughout the Empire.
By passing advanced examinations and conducting research a special diploma of fellowship may be won, entitling the holder to use the initials * .P.S. (X.Z.). This is a new feature of the syllabus.
