FAST LAUNCH TRIP.
INVALID'S QUICK PASSAGE.
Contracting acute appendicitis at Ostend early yesterday morning, a man was brought to Auckland in less than two hours in a launch owned by a resident of the island. Mr. .F. Kennedv The patient was Mr. Cecil Twigg, aged 35. of Gurnell Avenue, Hamilton, who was on holiday.
At 1.30 a.m. yesterday the St. John Ambulance officer stationed at Wailieke. Mr. C. S. Butler, was called to Mr. 1 wigg, and, after examining him he made arrangements for him to be taken to the Auckland Hospital on his arrival in Auckland. Mr. r l wigg was rushed to lospital in a St. John ambulance, and his condition to-day is satisfactory.
