DEATH OF A JOCKEY.
SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES. ACCIDENT AT RANDWICK. (Received 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The 15-year-old apprentice jockey Max Papworth, who was seriously injured when five horses, including his mount, fell in the first division of the Novice Handicap at Randwick on Saturday, died in hospital. Two other jockeys, C. Findlay and Sopping, are still in hospital, but are progressing satisfactorily. The other two, Thomson and Dyer, have practically recovered.
