DE SOTO CASE.
DECISION TO STAND. JUDICIAL STEWARDS* FINDING. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHCRCH, Monday. The judicial stewards of the New Brigliton Trotting Club to-day reopened consideration of the De Soto caee. After long deliberation and the hearing of fresh evidence, it wan decided that the finding of the stewards at the club's meeting on December 4 that C. Johnson, the owner, J. Pringle, the driver, and t'.ie horse De Soto be disqualified for three months, for not trying to win, should standThe appeal was first dealt with by the New Zealand Trotting Association last Friday evening, when freeh evidence was heard, and it wae decided to refer the case back to the New Brighton Club.
