RIFLE SHOOTING.
THE AKARANA CLUB. i COLQUHOTTN AND GRAHAM WIN SPECIAL MATCH TO DECIDE TIE. The members of the Akarana Rifle Club fired the final shoot of the second trophy series over the ranpes of 500 yards and »>OO yarda for trophies:— W. Colquhoun registered his third possible of the season by putting them all in at 500 yards. C. Harris won Mr. G. G. Asliby's trophy In section A. To decide the winner of Mr. J. G. Jones-Parry's trophy it will l>e necessary for R. M. Calder and X. (■raham to shoot oft, both marksmen having an equal number of trophy points. Silver spoons were won by W. Colquhoun and X. Graham. The Auckland City Defence Rifle Club continued on Saturday with its 500 and 600 yards championships. A fine effort went to the credit of E. Johns, a B grade memtier, who scored an easy win with 96.
