MODEL AEROPLANES.
KESTREL CLUB'S FLIGHT,
On Sunday members of the Kestrel Aeronautical Gas Model Society flew a competition at Mt. Boskill. The highest times were:—S. Eade, 8m 40s; H. Parker, 4m 4 l-5s ; C. Harrington, 3m 30s; R. G Cross, 10 3-ss.
Altogether over 50 flights were made. A spectacular crash of B. Cross* model added a thrill to the morning's flying. It made a vertical bank from the take-off and crashed to the ground, damaging the machine considerably.
S. Eade's machine, made an exceptionally fine flight, the model gaining 2000 or 3000 feet altitude and finally disappearing from sight.
