CLAIM BY COMPANY.
ROAD PAVIHG PROCESS.

CHRISTCHTTECH, Tuesday. Judgment was reserved by Mr. Justice Northcroft in the Supreme Court to-day on a claim for £3000 by Honing Road Surfaces, Limited, of Edinburgh, agamst Archibald Donald Paterson, of Christcburch, civil engineer, and a counterclaim by Paterson for £812 10/. Tho action was based on the company's allegation that Paterson, who went to England in 1«34 to exploit his own method of road paving, committed a breach of contract with the company by returning permanently to Xew Zealand before completing a two years engagement with the company. This, it was alleged, spoiled tho company's prospects. . Paterson's counter-claim was for money he declared was owed him by the company.
