JEWS TAKE ACTION.
World Campaign Decided on at U.S. Congress. NAZI-INSPIRED OPPRESSION. WASHINGTON, November 28. Delegates representing 60 Jewish communities attended an emergency session of the American Jewish Congress, held to formulate a world-wide organisation to fight anti-Semitism. They hoard a report asserting that .1.000,000 Jews in Central and Eastern Europe are seriously endangered by anti-Jewish movements.
Reactionary forces in Central and Eastern Europe were responsible for the most brutal oppression the world had ever seen, said the report. The method was the pogrom, popularised by Nazi Cermany, and adopted by Poland, Rumania, Danzig, Austria-Hungary and otherj Mates.
It was apparent that anti-Semitism was the fir-it step in all movements dedicated to the destruction of democratic government. The anti-Semitic international headquarters were in Germany and all anti-Semitic movements derived their arguments from there and received support in following the plan devised by the Nazis. The report said it was prepared to enlist every Jew over the age of 18 throughout the world.
