EX-KING'S TARTAN.
Variant of Royal Stewart Design. BUTHERLANDSHIRE KILT. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, November 28. The Duke of Windsor is adopting a Bonnie Prince Charlie tartan, for which he is having a new kilt woven at Brora, Sutherlandshire. The tartan is a variant of the Royal Stewart, except that the blue and green lines are broader, reducing the red squares to a background. This is traversed by yellow lines, traditionally indicating the Royal Scottish descent.
