NEW SOUTH WALES BEQUESTS
(Received 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Substantial bequests to charity, but not to the extent expected, are included i in the will of Dame Eadith Walker, whose estate for probate has now been sworn at £265,340. The testatrix decreed that one-third of the residuary of the estate, after providing for ehari- j ties and legacies for employees, should i go to the Returned Soldiers and Sailors ' League. Federal and State death duties amount to £100,000. I Dame Eadith was the only child of the late Mr. Thomas Walker, of Yaralla, New South Wales, who died in 1886. 1 His estate at the time of probate was worth £938,000. It was considered at the time of Dame Eadith's death that lat least £750,000 would be available! ' for charities. '
