A large crowd of Kpectators was stirred by the excellent rallies.
_ In the first set Bromwich, bv sheer consistency and accuracy, wore Crawford down.
In the second set Crawford lost manv points through netting and over hitting in desperate attempts for winners. Hp fought back In great style In the third set. but Bromwich answered every call in the manner of a veteran.

The New Zealand I-nwn Tennis Association management committee has drawn up an itinerary for a New Zealand tour for him and D. C. Coombe and/or other 'leading players who may be available to play exhibition matches. " i
The itinerary is:—TMay nt Wbangarei. December IS; Hamilton. December 27Chrlstchurch. January 1 : Dunedin. January 3: Invereargill. January 5; Timarn. January R; Wellington. January IS; Palmerston North. January 19: Wnngnnni January •_••_': Napier. January 20: New Zealand championships at Auckland, January 31 to February 5.
In addition. Stedman will be nske.l to play two exhibition matches in Auckland sub-districts to lie nominated by the Auck'lnil T.awn Tennis Association if it can be arranged. He will also be asked to gire a demonstration to juniors attending the junior championships at Christ church. The terms of the exhibition mntches are that the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association will pay the travelling expenses of Stedman and other players, plus 10/ a day allowance to each player while away from home. Local Associations are to billet the visiting players and pay the New Zealand Association one-third of the gross receipts, less tax. all expenses other than travelling and allowance to be a charge against the local association. The Wellington Association has agreed to the terms so far as they affect it.
