INCREASED STAKE.
NEWMARKET HANDICAP.
MELBOURNE, November 12.
The committee of the Victoria Racing Club ha* decided to add £900 to the stake for the Newmarket Handicap, which will bring it up to the level of the Australian Cup, namely, £3000.
