COMMUNITY SUNSHINE.
MOUNT ALBERT BRANCH. The annual campaign for the sale of health stamps in the Mount Albert district conducted by the local branch of the Community Sunshine Association was inaugurated at the Mount Albert post office this week, and according to reports submitted to the monthly meeting held yesterday, is receiving liberal support. The meeting, over which Mrs. W. H. Worrall presided, finalised arrangements for members taking duty for the saie of stamps for the whole of the month of November. Permission was received from the board of directors for the use of Sunshine School, Nelson Street for a jumble sale in two weeks' time, and the necessary organisation for stalls and collection of articles for sale was set up. Mrs. A. Sharpies, social convener, reported that the recent card evening had yielded the very satisfactory amount of nearly £7. The branch held a special meeting last evening, when arrangements for the playground activities at Fowlds Park during the month of January were advanced a further stage.
