EMPIRE PARLIAMENTS.
eixctiow or officers. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLIXGTOX, Thursday. At the annual meeting of the Xew Zealand branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association the following officers were elected:—Presidents, the Speakers of the Legislative Council, Sir Walter Carncross, and of the House of Representatives, the Hon. W. E. Barnard; vice-presidents, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. .7. Savage, the Leader of the Legislative Council, the Hon. Mark Fagan'. the Leader of the Opposition, the Hon. A. Hamilton, the Rt. Hon. G, W. Forbes, the Rt. Hon. J. G. C'oates, Sir James Allen; treasurer, the Hon. W. W. Snodgrass: secretary, the Clerk of Parliaments, Mr. C. M. Bothamley.
Mr. J. O'Brien, member for Westland, was elected to represent the association at the sesquicentenary celebrations in Xew South Wales in Januarv.
It was announced that Sir Howard Degville, secretary of the United Kingdom branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association, will visit New Zealand after attending the sesquicentenarv celebrations. He expects to arrive at Auckland on February 14.
