"MYSTERY" GOLFER.
John Montague Arraigned on Hold-up Charge.
TENSE SCENE IN COURT,
NEW YORK, October 21. A message from Elizabethtown, NewYork State, says that the selection of the jury to hear the charge against John Montague, Hollywood "mystery" golfer, was completed yesterday. It is alleged that Montague was concerned in a hold-up seven years ago.
There was a tense scene -when tho alleged victim of Montague's bludgeon, namely, Matt Cobb, aged 67, entered the Court. He sat down 10 feet from Montague and studied his face witk penetration. Montague gave no sign that he was aware of Cobb's presence.
The case for the prosecution will open this morning. It is expected that the district attorney will plead for interpretation of the law without sentiment.
