ELLERSLIE CLUB. FIRST TOINTS MEETING. The Ellerslie Amateur Athletic Club in conjunction with thf* Northern Amateur < yelp commenced its evening points meetings on Monday. There was a large attendance and tlie ground was in good order for so early in the season. Ihe Elb rslie Club has been considerably st rengt licned by the addition of several prominent athletes. All the events were keenly contested and smne of the finishes in the cycling events were very close. Events resulted as follows:— 100 Yards Schoolboys' Handicap.—G. McCreer.v ]. J. Roberts 2, B. There will be no meeting next Monday evening, but an open meeting will be held fin Saturday, October 30. when the following events will lie decided :—Ladies' 75 yards and 100 yards handicaps, junior 100 yards and 220 yards handicaps, senior 100, 220 and 440 yards handicaps. Entries close with the secretary on Wednesday, October 27.
