MORE STATE HOUSES.
SCHEME FOR ROTORUA. EARLY START WITH BUILDING. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) ROTORUA, this day. Advice has been received by Mr. A. F. Moncur, M.P., that tenders are to be called immediately for the erection of 12 single-house units and two two-house units in Rotorua under the State housing scheme. The necessary schedule forms have already' been forwarded to the Rotorua office of the Public Works Department.
The State houses are to be built to the west of Ranolf Avenue, between Pererika and Pukuatua Streets, and will be adjacent to the block of ten houses which are to be constructed under the municipal scheme by the Rotorua Borough Council. Provided that the necessary tradesmen can be obtained, work on both blocks of houses will commence almost immediatelv.
