FIELD DAY.
Y.W.C.A. TEAM COMPETITIONS. About twenty different teams, representing the various organisations of the Y.W.C.A., took part in a field day, held at the Auckland Training College grounds on Saturday afternoon. Races, relays and games were arranged by the Y.W.C.A.'s physical instoructor, Miss J. Harmsworth, and a keen spirit of competition was seen between the members of the rival teams. All the girls were dressed in their team costumes. The fencers wore their black and white fencing tunics, the tumbling squad their gymnasium suits, and the other teams wore brilliant bands of their particular colours. taking part in the sports events included members of the Areta, Aroha, Baseball. Black Cat, Fraternity, Hockey, Hostel, Keep Fit, Bangers, Bangiora, Shamrock, Tortoise, White Knight and Te Whare Koa teams.
