OBITUARY.
MR. A. E. GUMMER. A son of one of the first four settlers to take up land and one of the original Albertland settlers, Mr. Alfred Edward Gummer, has died at his home, Woodside Road, Mount Eden, in his 87th year. Mr. Gummer landed in New Zealand in 18t>3. He was one of four brothers who had lived together all their lives, farmed together and retired together, the association being broken two years ago with the death of two of the brothers. In 1033 Mr. John Gummer died at the age of 92. and in the same year Mr. Henry died, aged 80. Mr. Gummer is survived by his brother Mr. Thomas George Glimmer.
