STILL NO TRACE.
NAVAL SEAMEN'S BODIES. COURT OF INQUIRY OPENED. No trace of the bodies of the three naval seamen who were drowned when the galley in which they were competing for the Diomede Cup on Thursday afternoon capsized off Karaka Bay has yet been found. As far as the Navy is concerned the search has been abandoned, but the police in areas where the bodies might possibly ccm» ashore will keep a lookout. A Court of Inquiry was opened on board H.M.S. Leander this morning under the presidency of Commander C. B. Tinley, Captain of H.M.S. Philomel, and officer in charge of the Naval Base. Proceedings were held in camera. The Court sat at 9.30 a.m., adjourned at noon, and continued again this afternoon.
