Aim of President Roosevelt's Goodwill Call. ROAD TO ALASKA. •VICTORIA (8.C.), October 1. British Columbia is welcoming President Roosevelt on his second visit to Canada. The object of the goodwill trip is the establishment of a new highway link between British Columbia and Alaska, forming part of an American scheme for defence of the Pacific coastline.
