Chilled beef, slightly lower this week owing to less demand. ]New Zealand porker pigs: Lightweights slightly easier owing to large supplies. Other descriptions steady and unchanged. New Zealand baconer pigs: Short spot stocks have caused prices to harden.

THE BANK'S REPORT. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office as at the close of business this week:— Wethers.—Weaker values are ruling owing to lack of demand. Light, 5d to 6d per lb: heavy,- 4%d to 4%d. Ewes.—The market is dull-—3%d to 4%d. Lambs.—The market is rather easier, being affected by heavy supplies of Homekilled meat. Twos, 7%d to 7%d; eights, 7%d to 794 d: fours, 7%d to 7%d; seconds, 7%d to 7%d.
