Ihe New Zealand Meat • Producers' Board advises that the following represent priccs realised on Thursday, September 30, based on actual transactions of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of meat mentioned. They are lor representative parcels of the goods offering that day, being for business done on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market, and/or ex London stores. Lamb Market.—Lightweights remain firm; lieavyvreights slightly easier. Consumption satisfactory for the time of year. Mutton market: easier with trade slow. Ewes: Market quiet and unchanged. Beef market: Frozen beef meeting with a steady demand at unchanged prices. Chilled beef, slightly lower this week owing to less demand. ]New Zealand porker pigs: Lightweights slightly easier owing to large supplies. Other descriptions steady and unchanged. New Zealand baconer pigs: Short spot stocks have caused prices to harden.

THE BANK'S REPORT. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office as at the close of business this week:— Wethers.—Weaker values are ruling owing to lack of demand. Light, 5d to 6d per lb: heavy,- 4%d to 4%d. Ewes.—The market is dull-—3%d to 4%d. Lambs.—The market is rather easier, being affected by heavy supplies of Homekilled meat. Twos, 7%d to 7%d; eights, 7%d to 794 d: fours, 7%d to 7%d; seconds, 7%d to 7%d.
