DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS. SPARKLING SEMI-FINALS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Friday. Sparkling badminton was witnessed on the third night of the New Zealand championship#, and eome brilliant play was seen in the eemi-finals of the A grade men's and women's singles events. Results of semi-finals in championships:—
Men's Singles.—P. Hawksworth (Mastcrton) beat R. Stark (Otago), 15 —0, 15—5; J. Spedding (Taranaki) beat D. Keid (Wellington), 15—4, 12—15, 15—11.
Women's Singles.—Mis9 M. Edmondson (Auckland) beat Mrs. P. Hawksworth (Masterton), 11—4, 11—2; Miss M. Kerr (Otago) beat Miss N. Fleming (Masterton), 11—7, 11—7.
Men's Doubles.—p. Hawksworth (Masterton) aad V. G. A. Pearce (Wellington) beat D. Reid (Wellington) and J. Tansley (Otago), 15—1, 15—5; J. Spedding (Taranaki) and P. Anderson (Auckland) beat G. R. Dickinson and J. R. Laidlaw (Otago). 15—12. 1.5—7,
Women's Doubles.—Misses M. Edmondson and J. Ramsay (Auckland) beat Misses B. Werner and J. Emslie (Otago), 15 —12. 15 —7; Miss M. Kerr (Otago) and Mrs. P. Hawksworth (Masterton) beat Fairbairn and Mrs. Salisbury (Southland), 15—7, 15—5.
