Foote (Wellington) owing to sustaining a compound fracture of the jaw in a bout on the opening night against I. Hogarth (Greymouth), which he won. Bantam-weight.—W. Brown (Southland), 8.2, defeated S. Stock (Auckland), 82M; J. Thompson (Gisborne), defaulted to M. Parr (Otago). Semi-finals: M. Parr (Otago), 8.3, defeated R. Smith (Ashburton), 8.2%; J. Parker (Wellington), 8.3, defeated W. Brown (Southland), 8.1%. Feather-weight.—B. McKay (Hamilton), 9.0, defeated W. Clark (Greymouth); T. Whatnoagh (Wanganui), 8.9, defeated J. O'Connor (Christchurch), 8.13; G. Bridge (Wellington), 8.12%, defeated J. Mclvor (Hawke's Bay), 8.12. Semi-finals: K. Moran (Auckland), 8.13, defeated T. Whatnoagh (Wanganui), 8.9, on a technical knock-out: B. McKay (Hamilton), 9.0, defeated G. Bridge (Wellington), 8.12%.
