WEATHER FORECAST.

The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south •• Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Moderate to strong north-easterly to northerly winds. Weather dull and misty, with rain, and some heavy falls In places. Temperatures mild. Seas rough on the east coast and rough offshore on the west coast. Pressure has continued to be high to the south and east, but has fallen in the north, a depression having extended from the Tasman Sea across northern New Zealand. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day: The indications are for moderate to strong northerlies. Expect dull weather, with much mist and fog in parts; rain heavy in places; mild temperatures. Barometer little movement, with a falling tendency. Seas rough. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, easterly, moderate; sea, moderate; weather, overcast, with signs of breaking; visibility, fair: barometer, falling slowly.
