BAPTIST TABERNACLE.
ANMTTAI. MEETING HELD. Progress made during the past year in the various departments of the church was reported at the 82nd annual meeting of the Tabernacle Church last night. The minister. Dr. Alexander Hodge, presided. The two secretaries, Messrs. J. D. Kemp and S. M. Conway, stated that much social service work had been done through eueh agencies as the women's meeting and the sewing circle. The report also stressed the work done by younger members of the church in openair and mission work. This was to be extended by the use of a motor bus recently bought by the church. Officers were elected as follow:— Secretaries. Messrs. J. D. Kemp and S. M. Conway; treasurers, Messrs. F. S. Battley and G. Watson; organist and choirmaster, Mr. A. E. Wilson; elders, Messrs. A. D. Fountain and S. E. Wood; deacons, Messrs. F. W. Gaze, F. Brookbanks and O. S. Wiles.
