N. ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. MEETING AT MORRINSVIL.LE. At the North Island live-bird and clayhird shooting championship meeting, which opened at Morrinsville yesterday, the sparrow-shooting championship was completed. Results :— Sparrow Championship (17 birds).—R. Symons (Taihape) and M. I'ratt (Otoro- , hnnga) each shot 16 birds. In the shoot | off both competitors shot five birds. Symons I missed the sixth, Pratt being successful to win the mutch. Third and fourth money was.divided by H. Clinch (National Park), J. Ormond (Wairoa), and J. Malcolm (Hnntly). Sparrow Sweepstake (first miss out). — At the end of the fourth round nine com- ! petitors decided to divide the prize money. They were:—E. Groome (Otane). R. E. Cuthbertson (Wanganui), P. J. Jobbin (Wairoa), J. Dobson (Hamilton), W. Oates (Tokomaru Bay). J. Ormond (Wairoa), M. Pratt (Otorohanga), R. J. Cosbie (Cambridge), and J.
