LADIES ENTERTAINED. if , '' _______ •An enjoyable social was held by the members of the Northcote Returned Soldiers' Association la*st evening, when iheir lady friends were entertained at the clubroom. The master of ceremonies was Mr. Fred Roberts. Items were contributed by Mesdamee A. E. Tremain, J. Setters, "E. Barrington Snow, Messrs. R. McGhie, C. M. Greenslade and A. C. T. Winkelmann. The accompaniments were played by Mrs. E. Barrington Snow. Musical competitions were won by Mesdamcs W. J. Fullbrook, J. West (Thames), Messrs. W. Marshall, E. Norris, H. H. Markwick, R. McGhie and A. C. Pugh.
