LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
JUNIOR MANAGEMENT. FOURTH GRADE FINAL. At the meeting of the junior management of the Auckland Rugby League last evening, Mr. D. Wilkie presiding, it was decided that the winners of the fourth grade championship match next Saturday, Ellerslie v. Richmond, would be recommended to meet Huntly District High School thirteen in one of the curtainraisers to the Australia v. New Zealand finet Test at Carlaw Park on August 7. As this final will also count for the knock-out no extra time is to be allowed. All grades will have a bye on August 7, with the exception of No. 1 section of the third grade, whose bye will occur on August 14 (date of second Test), when all other grades will play, but as early as possible. The senior B grade, with_ a bye on August 7, will not finish until September 11. City were granted permission to appeal against the decision to replay the City v. Green Lane sixth grade match, which was the subject of the recent appeal by Green Lane. The senior board advised that I. Wilson (ex-Mount Albert seniors and late St. George. Wellington) had been granted a transfer and regrade to Papakura senior B. Exceptional circumstances were stated to be involved in the action taken. Transfer: D. G. Topp, Newton to Papakura third B. Regrade: R. Purdie, R.V. senior B to third grade.
