RESERVE OF AIR PILOTS.
CANDIDATES FOR TRAINING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. Candidates approved for enrolment in the civil reserve of pilots for training by their respective aero clubs were announced to-night by the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones. Seven of the candidates belong to the Canterbury Aero Club and five to the Auckland Aero Club. Nominations by other clubs have not yet been dealt with. The candidates are:—Canterbury Aero Club: P. G. H. Newton, S. G. Baggott, G. F. Bridges, H. T. Francis, T. P. Gibson, L. K. Hewitt, H. K. Oliver. Auckland Aero Club: H. W. Lamond, L. J. Hill, J. D. Patersou, N. F. McLean, J. R. Penniket.
