HOUSE DESTROYED.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) BLENHEIM, Monday. A lonjr period of freedom from outbreaks of fire in Blenheim was broken early yesterday morning , , when a large wooden dwelling in Maxwell Road, owned by Mr. C. L. Goodman, was practically destroyed. The fire had a strong hold and flames were iesuing from every window and from the roof when the" brigade arrived, and it was not until a good deal of water had been poured into the building that the brigade gained control.
