A frost of 13.5 degrees, the most severe of almost fifty thie year, Was recorded yesterday by the Magnetic Observatory at Christchurch. The next heaviest frost of the season, 11.1 degrees, was recorded on June 19. Six frosts of 10 degrees or more have been recorded ■this year.
