AUCKLAND CLUB. 60O0YDS TO E. I* HA YD ON. MISS J. BLACKER WINS DOUBLE. The winter competitions of the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club were continued on Saturday in the Domain in fine weather, and good contests were seen in every case, the ladies' events especially attracting a large number of visitors. The 6000 yds steeplechase was won by E. L. Haydon by 50yds from L. B. Clarice. The 75yds sprint was won by F. J. Bryan, with S. W. Buchanan close up, second. The discus throw was won by E. D. Bell, -with 109 ft Sin. J. H. Smith, 106 ft 2in, was next. The shot put went to N. Clark, 35ft Bin. with V. R. Amoretti next at »sft 3Jin.
