SOME GOOD SCORING.

SCHNAUER MEMORIAL CUP. PLATERS BEAT HANDICAPS. Particularly good scoring featured the qualifying play in the Schnauer Memorial Cup at Maungakiekie. and all the sixteen players who will meet under handicap match play conditions bettered their handicaps. Nine of them broke 70 net, and the worst was 71. The tourney for players eliminated in the tirst round of the captain's prise at Middlemore was completed, aud resulted in a win for T. W. J. Johnson, who beat F. E. R. Merrltt. Johnson had an exceptionally good round of 76. The Stabletord bogey was won by S. S. Wilson, whose medal round was 74. It was a close contest between Wilson and C. N. Jacobsen. who scored a point less. Jacobsen came home in 34 and Wilson in 35. At Titirangi E. C. Nimon and IS. B. Carr won a Canadian foursomes and the third round of the Ballin Cup was played. Another good round was played at Pupuke. where G. Nicholas (6) had a medal card of 73 in winning a StablefordEqually meritorious was C. B. Currie, S3 off 15, at Akarana in a similar event. The finalists for the captain's prize at Remuera were decided, and W. P. Ralph now meets G. Mellsop. REMUERA CLUB. In the semi-finals of the captain's prize competition played on Saturday by members of the Remuera Golf Club, W. P. Ralph beat G. I. Duncan, 4 and 3. and G. Mellsop beat V. Badeley at the 21st. PUPUKE CLUB. A Stableford bogey match played at Pupake was won by G. Nicholas with u score of 33, 5—38. The next best were : — H. Kandrup. 30, 5—35: A. F. Burnett, 28, J. Drought. 27. 8 —35: W. .1. Thompson, 20, 15—38; J. M. West, 18, 17—35. Nicholas, playing on a six handicap, returned a good card of 73, against the scratch score of 70. R. Nicholas beat R. G. Ross, 3 and 2, in the second round for the captain's prize. H. E. Nicholas beat H. Webb, 4 and 3, !in the first round for the Pupuke Cup. In the Challenge Stars four-ball best-ball match, the holders, E. A. Carson and H. A. Craig, were defeated by H. E. Nicholas and T. E. Gooding, 1 down. In the juvenile competition J. Wilson beat L. B. Johnston, 3 and 2, and T. G. Armstrong beat J. G. Ross at the nineteenth. R. Nicholas and H. O. Probert beat 'I. Howden and H. Brickell, 1 up, in the fourball best-ball knock-out competition (third round). . . An open Stableford bogey match, played over the week-end, was won by J. I. Wilson, with a score of 19, 18—37, the next best being H. Stevens, 35. TITIRANGI CLUB. The following are the results ' of *lie third round of the Ballin Cup on the Titirangi links :—E.
