AIRMAN'S WIFE HURT.
THROWN FROM MOTOR CAR. FRACTURED SKULL AND SHOCK. (Br Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. Thrown through a door on to the pavement when the car in which she was travelling swerved to avoid a bus, Mrs. Pay Griffiths, wife of Captain E. N. Griffiths, the young airman who returned to New Zealand recently after' taking part in the Spanish civil war, suffered a fractured skull and shock. Captain Griffiths wa« uhurt. The accident happened in Aurora Street, Petone, about midday yesterday. Mrs. Griffiths, is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Robinson, of Hataitai. Captain and Mrs. Griffiths were married in Wellington on June 22.
