LANCASHIRE SOCIETY.
A happy gathering oT members and visitors Attended the Arts Hall for the social and dance of the Lancashire Society. A splendid programme was pro - sented, and an amusing play entitled,
"According to Instructions,'' was given by Mesdames Clegg. Hill and Miss Brassington. Miss Merle Campbell g«ve a Lancashire clog dance, Miss I'nieo Stanbridge a Spanish dance, Miss Xorina Campbell a Scotch reel. Miss McCord (piper) and Miss Gloria Atkinson a novelty dance. The waltz competition held during the evening was won by Mr. and Mrs. Stanhridge,. and the novelty competition winner was Mrs. Lloyd. A glass bowl was presented to the club by Mrs. Godsall, and refreshments were served by Mrs. Dawson and committee.
