"Women should know all about where the money comes from and where it goes to," declared Aliss Helen de Guerry Simpson, a notable Australian novelist, who is expected to arrive at Sydnev shortly :—

The magic of money—from whence doth It conic. And where in the world doth it go? Now this is a puzzle that's never been solved. As many economists know. One day we have got it, the next It has gone— But hoy, what a rannygazoo When the feminine cranks try to burgle the hanks To find where it's going to.

"When women fintl out where the money comes from." Well, what do you know about that? I've always imagined that women were good At making a wallet look flat. When hubby conies home with his pay envelope. His pockets are quickly gone through; The women who know how to get all the lioush. Will know where it's going to.

That's sure for a bite! But where does it come from ? For thousands are living in hope That somehow there'll be an odd quidlet or

To add to the pay envelope. Financiers juggle the bullion reserves, And collar a million or two ; But a bloke who will rashly tickle the cash Will know where he's going to.

And where does money go? Well, look at the ads. Advising of bargains galore. I'll bet you a fiver that some of it goes To the millinery-drapery store. For money will go while the going is good For something to wear or to chew: And the worker who pays for his wife's little ways Can guess where it's going to. Well, well! What a marvel is modern finance'. Some cuius and some well crumpled notes. They come and they go, and your banking account Will prove as it sinks or it floats That there must be millions of money somewhere— Gosh! What's all that hullaballoo? Hey! Dash it all. mum!
