Miss Beadle's songs were "Impatience" and "Hark, Hark, the Lark" (Schubert), "Country Folk" (Brahe), "Cherry Ripe" (Horn), "Lullaby" (Mozart), and for a recall "Trees." Mr. Laird sang "Gentle Maiden',"' "In the Gloaming," "Drink to Me Only," "Home on the Range," "The Old Rustic Bridge" and the Irish ballad, "Believe me if all those endearing young charms." All artists were in fine form, and were repeatedly recalled. A play, "Villa For Sale," produced by Miss R. MacCullav, was presented, with parts taken by Mesdames J. Kealev, jun., G. Dyson, D. McDonald and Forrest. Afternoon tea was served, followed by community singing. The chairman, Mr. C. D. McLean, voiced the thanks of the members of the Peoples' University to the visiting artists.
