QUEEN CARNIVAL.
RUGBY LEAGUE DANCE,
A dance organised by the committee of the Mount Albert Rugby queen carnival in aid of carnival -funds was held in the Peter Pan Cabaret last night. The guests were received by Mr. J. A. Tonge, the chairman, and Mrs. Tonge, who wore a frock of black moire taffeta. During the evening the Mount Albert queen, Miss Anita Johnston, was formally presented. She wore a frock of white fringed silk over pink satin. Her two maids of honour, Miss Heather Cuthbertson and Miss P. Robson, were dressed in blue foam tulle and scarlet and black taffeta.
Members of the ladies' committee present were: Mesdames L. O. King, S. Illingworth, A. Montgomery, E.' H. Mackie, J. Sullivan and Miss T. Cossar.
