SPELLMAN BEATS BLOMFIELD. I (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Sunday. In what was one of the best wrestling bouts ever seen here, Jack Spellman, 16.0, defeated Lofty Blomfield, 16.6, last night *>y two falls to one. Blomfield scored with his octopus clamp in the third round, SpeUman equalising in the fifth with an aeroplane .spin, dump and.bodv press. Following three terrific dump's Blomfield-was groggy in the sixth round, and the, .American had no difficulty in securing another; fall with an aeroplane spin and body press. It was a hard, fast contest, devoid of showmanship. Spellman's display marked him am one of the cleverest wrestlers who ever"appeared in Dunedin.
