EX-TOWN CLERK'S OFFENCE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARU, this day. At the Magistrate's Court to-day Lionel Francis Grimstone, formerly town clerk at Gerakline, appeared before Mr. H. Morgan, S.M., charged with having stolen a sum of £200 19/10, the property of the council. After hearing the evidence of Adam S. Hamilton, Government audit inspector, and Detective Thomas, the accused pleaded guilty, and was remanded to tlie Supreme Court for sentence.
