GIFT EVENING.
There were about 70 guests at a gift evening held in the Mont le Grande Bowling Pavilion for Miss Winnifred Edwards, in honour of her approaching marriage. The hostesses were Mrs. N. Rogers, Mrs. W. Clark and Mrs. S. Yallop. The guests were received by Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Yallop. Mrs. Rogers presented Miss Edwards with a beautiful floral bonbon, and the guest of honour was also' the recipient of many dainty and useful gifts. A very delightful programme included pianoforte solos by Mr. S. Jackson, vocal solos by Madame Yeta Cornwall, Mrs. C. Gray and Miss Gladys Wright. The accompanist was Mr. S. Jackson. A happy evening was spent in dancing, and competitions were won by Madame Cornwall, Mrs. Goulding, Miss H. Croft and Mr. Hyland.
