CONCERT AT INFIRMARY.
A record attendance of the inmates marked the inaugural concert of the season on Tuesday evening, when a varied programme of musical and elocutionary numbers, organised by Mr. Gilbert O'Sullivan under the auspices of the Onebunga branch of the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary, met with warm appreciation. Vocal solos were given by Mrs. J. A. Price and Miss Doreen Saunders; pianoforte solos, Mrs. Maud Lysaght; recitations, Miss Mary Pilkington and Miss Doreen Saunders. A plaj entitled, "How to Retain a Husband," by Miss D. Saunders, Mr. Ralph Dyer, and Mr. Gilbert O'Sullivan, met with a hearty reception. Community singing was also a feature of the evening's entertainment. Mrs. Maud Lysaght and Mrs. J-_ A. Price were the accompanists, Mr. Gilbert O'Sullivan acted as stage manager, and Mr. T. Floyd, one of the inmates, expressed the appreciation of the audience and thanked the artists for the entertainment.
