NOT TOO LATE.
MORTGAGE ADJUSTMENTS. MINISTER'S ASSURANCE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELUNGTON, this day. Misunderstanding among eome mortgagors who have failed to make application for adjustment is removed by the Minister of Justice, the Hon. H. G. R. Mason, in a statement. "They believe there will be interruption of their banking account and that the accotint wilL be stopped," he eaid. This eo-called "stopping" was merely a separation of transections previous to the filing of applications from those subsequent to applications. The Minister added that there were a number of reasons why thie distinction should be made. "The statute givee its special protection to advances made to farmer* for current season's requirements. These are, therefore, separated from the old account and placed in .the second account. The credit of the farmer at the bank is not interfered with by filing an application for adjustment." Mr. Maeon Raid there was etill time for any farmer who, through misunderstanding, has failed to apply for adjustment of his liabilities to retrieve the position.
