BOY CYCLISTS HURT.

TWO AUCKLAND ACCIDENTS.

PROGRESSING FAVOURABLY,

When riding a bicycle down a path at the Western Springs Stadium last evening about five o'clock, a boy, Jack Marvin Applegreen. aged 15, of 11, Wainui Road, Point Chevalier, employed as a message hoy, fell down a flight of concrete steps, and sustained severe concussion and a fracture of the right arm. A St. John ambulance wan railed and the lad was taken to the Auckland Hospital. He was admitted in a fairly serious condition, but was reported to-day to be progressing favourably. Abrasions to the arms and body were •differed by another bov cyclist, William Henrv Short, aeed 14, a son of Mr. P. W. Short, of Hill Road, Manurew*. vhen he whs involved in a collision witli a motor car on the Great South Road, near Afanurewa yesterday about five Veloek. He was attended by Dr. C, C. Jenkins, and taken to the Aucklaid Hospital. His condition is not eerious.
