CLAUDELANDS RAM FAIR. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report as follows cm their annual sale ot Koiiutey rams held at Claudelailds: —The catalogue entry came forward, and the quality, generally speaking, was good. Prices reflected the increasing popularity of Kotnney ranis, and throughout the sale were appreciably above reserves. A very large and representative attendance of buyers was present, and free bidding was forthcoming for everything presented to them. 111 fact, most of the buyers took pens, and in some instances the whole of a vendor's offerings. The special entry of Ryelands we submitted at the end of the sale sold very satisfactorily. The principal sales were: —On account Messrs. J. McL. Blair and Sons, Wanganui, five good tlock one-shear Komney rams, at 14gs; five at 9%gs, and three at BVigs; 011 account Mr. Cloth Johnstone, 12 sold up to 9gs; on account Mr. C. Matthews, five at BV£gs to 011 account Mr. V. H. Nolan, Roto-o-Rangi, five at llgs, two at llgs, three at 7%gs: on account Stansbury Estate, Opotiki. II up to BMigs; on account Mr. J. H. Mongavin, Levin, 19, up to B%gs; on account Mr. Wilfred Johnstone, Tamahere, 22, up to llVigs; on account Mrs. I. K. Fairer, 10, up to B%gs; on account Mr. Uloth Johnstone, six at 13gs, six at 14gs, two at 12%gs, four at lOgs, four at 13gs, two at llV4gs. Best flock Romneys made Hits to 14gs; good one-shear sheep, Bgs to lOgs; medium-class one-shear Romneys. Ggs to Bgs; plainer sorts, up to sgs; medium. Ryelund ranis, up to 7gs.
