VICTORIA CRUISING CLUB.

ANNUAL REGATTA ! V CLASS INTER-CLUB RACE. The Victoria Cruising Club held their regatta on Saturday in ideal weather, a steady breeze from the north blowing, and very close finishes were the order of the day. several events being won by a few seconds. The principal event was the inter-club ■ i-ntest in boats of rlie isft V class fur the '.'lare Rose Bowl. Nine clubs were represented. the winner being Irena, sailed by Alf ("Trot" I Willerts. representing the i''iint Chevalier Sailing Club.

Corona won the H class, with Spray vcond. Valkyrie won the L and N class, with Ta:uariki second. Leveret won the handicap race for the V class, sailed in conjunction with the inter-club contest, with Irena second. Itangatira won the S i-lass. with Mahana second. The T class was won by Lena, with Vamp second. Mania won the Y class, with Rebel second. A very close finish was witnessed in the V. class, in which 21 boats competed, iianoni finishing 26s ahead of Water Beetle, and Valeta won on handicap, with Kupc second and Rio third. The Silver Fern class was won by Endeavour, with .-ilver Fern second. Young Zealandia won the launch race.

Inter-club Race.—The race started at 2.55 p.m., the course being from the western reclamation, round Sandspit. thence across r > Resolution and back to Sandspit, thence to Rona buoy off Birkenhead, finishing at starting line.
