CHIEF'S BIRTHDAY.
SCOUT CELEBRATIONS.
To-day, as the birthday of the Chief Scout, Lord Baden Powell, is the scouts' "Day of Thinking," and scouts will renew their promise of loyalty to the order to-night at a campfire at Motu Moana (Camp by the Sea) at Green Bay, on the site made available by Mrs. Raymond Preston.
At the invitation of Sir Joseph Smith, metropolitan chairman of the Boy Scout Association, about 50 Rotarians, accompanied by their families and friends, visited the campfire gathering held at Motu Moana on Saturday night to celebrate the Chief Scout's birthday. About 150 scouts were present.
