SHORTAGE OF APARATUS. EQUIPMENT FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) XEW PLYMOUTH, tltis day. An early start on tin: new post office for New Plymouth was promised to-day by the Postmaster-General, the Hon. F. Jones. Mr. Jones also said it was hoped to commence the new automatic exchange in the near future, but the difficulty of obtaining apparatus from the manufacturers at present was very great. Numerous alterations had been made of late years in the manufacture of •xchange apparatus, and special facilities would be. provided for subscribers living at a distance.
